CEUP 2030

„Central European partnership about data science, artificial intelligence, robots and smart materials – Digital Innovation Hubs network”

Acronym: CEUP 2030
Framework:  Interreg Central Europe Programme
Duration of the project: 01.03.2020 – 28.02.2022

Aim of the project:

CEUP 2030 strives for excellence in policy making on Industry 4.0/Advanced Manufacturing in Central Europe. An upstreaming process is designed to meet the challenges & needs of available, high-quality innovation know-how in the CE area, which lacks sufficient cooperation & structure to really add-value at a policy-level & limits the competitive potential of connected regions. Transnational, multi-level learning supports regions to overcome this challenge. 4 main topics covered by CEUP 2030 are: Big & Real Data Processing and Sensors; Automation & Robotics; New Materials and Artificial Intelligence.
CEUP 2030 enhances the CE innovation eco system by establishing a sound Trend & Innovation Network (TIN) scheme working on 4 common CAMI4.0 topics and set policy pilot actions for improving the innovation landscape with the RIS3 Round Tables. Furthermore, trainings in the Policy Learning Labs & the elaborated tech radars (in the Policy Intelligence Dashboard) also increase the innovation capacity. CEUP 2030 synergises the outputs & results of the 6 CE/H2020 twin projects & sets strong links to jointly & consistently implement them & emerging spin-off projects.

Activity of PBN:

As Work Package Communication Leader, the activity of PBN is crucial in order to reach the communication objectives of the project. PBN is responsible for the communication of the involved 30 CE/EU regions and 100 stakeholders from different target groups, who are involved directly in the project work. CEUP 2030 addresses at least 250 further ones via conferences.
One aim of project communication is to raise awareness of CAMI4.0 topics, so the approach & results of the Policy Learning Labs will be presented at different regional, national & European meetings. A knowledge base will be set by communicating the results of the Trend & Innovation Networks & the coherent Technology Radars in order to increase knowledge about the main 4 CAMI4.0 topics. With the setting of permanent working groups (TINs, RIS3 Round Tables) & integrating top-level experts, the joint communication approach consequently leads to shift the attitude of key stakeholders. Furthermore, the integrative approach of the RIS3 Round Tables, the setting of the Policy Framework for 2021-2027, and the consistent sound communication of the gained results will ensure the long-term validity of project achievements.
