Boosting cREative induSTries in urbAn Regeneration for a stronger Danube region

Aim of the project:

The number of urban regeneration (UR) initiatives promoted by European cities is rising. Cities face challenges to develop a culture that generates public/private synergies to promote SMEs and stimulate creative urban communities.
The project aims to establish a transnational creative UR network, support innovative public policies, moreover it will address the insufficient capability of SMEs to adapt to innovation by supporting creative and cultural industries. 5 local action plans will be implemented for these purposes across the Danube Region.

Activity of PBN:

PBN, as a contributing partner, cooperates within the project partnership in all work packages with a special focus on the objectives of the project. PBN will play an active role in the “Policy & Stakeholder Dialogue” activity, with the aim of raising awareness of local stakeholders and involving them in the preparation of the local action plans (LAP). PBN will elaborate and implement the Local Action Plan 4 “LAP4” – Refurbishing heritage & historical buildings – together with VMÖH (Vas Megyei Önkormányzati Hivatal). PBN is responsible for supervising the organization of the 5 political workshops across the Danube Region. With the special activities, PBN will help to transform the use of heritage buildings into the community’s creative hotspots and to boost the local creative and knowledge industries.
