PBN - URBAN INNO final conference in Opatija

The closing conference and meeting of the URBAN INNO project took place in Opatija, Croatia, organized by the Lead Partner of the project as part of the MIPRO conference. The MIPRO event included a one - week program, organized year by year, and structured around information and communication technologies and electronics and microelectronics. Numerous qualified speakers from across Europe came to report on the results of their research in the spirit of innovation, so that is the reason why our colleagues came to the event one day before URBAN INNO to attend various smaller thematic seminars. These thematic seminars main theme was focused on elements of the Industry 4.0.

The project's closing conference took place on Thursday, May 23, where local entrepreneur Ante Lucic, as a guest speaker, opened a series of presentations, sharing his experiences and drawing the attention of more than 50 participants to the opportunities for innovation in urban development. This was followed by the presentation of a web page developed by Matjaz Gerl,(project partner) that gathers and describes participatory procedures that can easily involve civil society representatives in innovation development processes. This was followed by a presentation of the activities of the 9 pilot projects, during which PBN outlined the key pillars for closer cooperation with am-LAB and the public representatives and other key players invited there. Attila Joós presented his future ideas from am-LAB, and Zoltán Molnár talked about PBN's URBANINNO activities.

On Friday the 24th, the last project meeting with the partners took place. The partnership agreed on the technical and administrative tasks to be completed, including the translation of the Participation Procedures website into Hungarian and the finalization of the Vas County Action Plan for the introduction of Ipar4.0 in the region.

The project is realized in the Interreg Central Europe programme with the co-financing of the European Union and Hungary."
