Aim of the project:

The EU M POWER project aims to improve the situation of intra-EU labour migrants (EUMCs – EU Mobile Citizens), particularly by addressing misinformation and preventing labour rights violations. The project seeks to ensure that workers have access to clear, transparent, and easily available information about their rights, working conditions, and opportunities, thereby strengthening social, economic, and territorial cohesion within the European Union.

Activity of PBN:

As a project partner, PBN represents the policy instrument linked to the Szombathely 2030 strategy. Within the project, PBN focuses on cross-border commuters between Austria and Hungary. The initiative aims to analyse the characteristics and motivations of commuters between Vas County and Burgenland through four key dimensions:

  • labour market and economic factors
  • social and quality-of-life aspects
  • trust and institutional relations
  • future vision and service needs

The overall goal is to strengthen the region’s workforce retention and community development capacity, fully aligned with the objectives of the Szombathely 2030 strategy.
