PBN HIGHLIGHTS – JUNE NEWS SUMMARY

Collaboration, innovation, and inspiring encounters - in June, PBN took part in major international project events in Pécs, Prague, and Bologna. The meetings focused on circular economy, digitalisation, industrial AI, and international cooperation. These in-person gatherings not only supported professional progress but also sparked fresh ideas, new partnerships, and shared goals for future innovation.

SpinIT project – Industry 4.0, AI and Regional Pilots in Focus in Pécs

The two-day SpinIT partner meeting in Pécs brought together project partners from across the Danube Region to review progress, share experiences, and explore future steps.
Day 1 featured project updates, an interactive workshop and concluded with a site visit to KONTAKT-Elektro Ltd., a local technology leader specializing in automation, robotics, and hydrogen-based innovations - offering valuable inspiration for the SpinIT initiative.

Day 2 focused on key topics such as Industry 4.0, R&D cooperation, green transition, and AI applications, concluding with an inspiring showcase of pilot projects designed to address regional challenges through innovative, collaborative solutions.

 
 
WE.Circular project – Supporting Women Entrepreneurs Through Local Action Plans

The We.Circular project meeting in Prague took place on June 5–6, 2025. On the first day, a public dissemination event was held, where international speakers shared their experiences on circular economy, women entrepreneurs, and business development support. This was followed by the Transnational Stakeholder Meeting, during which each country began developing its own Regional Action Plan (RAP) in a workshop setting, supported by experts from the other partner countries. On the second day, participants took part in a site visit and workshop at Sto.re, a local reuse center that demonstrated circular solutions in practice.

 

DIGI-B-WELL project – Successful 3rd partner meeting in Bologna

The third partner meeting of the DIGI-B-WELL took place in Bologna, hosted by the University of Bologna. The two-day event brought together project partners for productive discussions and important updates.
Key highlights included:
  • Presentation of results from the second project period
  • Overview of foresight scenarios and the transnational digitalisation strategy
  • A live demonstration of the DIGI-B-WELL platform
  • Updates on dissemination activities and planning for the next reporting phase
Special attention was given to upcoming tasks in Work Package 3, including regional action plans, capacity building, and further outreach efforts. The meeting marked an important milestone and set the stage for the next phase of the project’s implementation.



Practical Knowledge Sharing and AI Solutions in Manufacturing – AIRISE Meeting in Prague

The CIIRC CTU (Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics) in Prague hosted the AIRISE project partners for three intensive days, during which they not only discussed the project's progress, achievements, and next steps, but also explored opportunities for real industrial collaborations in the field of AI-based manufacturing solutions.

One of the highlights of the meeting was the CIIRC Tech Dating event, where industrial stakeholders met directly with researchers and testbed providers, received tailored expert consultations, and were introduced to practical applications of the technologies available through the RICAIP testbed network for SMEs.
