Acronym: L4MS
Framework: Horizon 2020
Duration of the project: 01.10.2017- 31.03.2021
Aim of the project:
The L4MS Marketplace will connect manufacturing SME's and mid-caps with automation solution providers. European manufacturing SMEs and mid‐caps will be able to access and receive technological support for the automation of their intra-factory logistics process and support in adopting innovative business and/or service models, access to finance and access to advanced training to-reskill staff among other services.
The L4MS Marketplace is part of the L4MS project.
Outdated intra-factory logistics are troubling European SMEs, whose logistics account up to 50 % of total manufacturing costs. Innovations and new technological applications would tackle the production challenge, but they require strategic thinking, simulation, re-skilling, and investments. Lots of resources that most SMEs don’t have. The vision of L4MS (Logistics for Manufacturing SMEs) is to unleash the full innovation potential of European manufacturing industry, especially SMEs and Mid-Caps by addressing these intra-factory logistics challenges.
Activity of PBN:
PBN provides one of the 26 aforementioned DIHs with having am-LAB organization as its subsidiary certified by the European Union. Via am-LAB, PBN is able to share good practices possessing a fair share of experiences gathered mainly since the 1st of November 2017, when am-LAB was established. Now, six engineers and another four members of the staff working actively on innovative solutions having Industry4.0 program as the focus point of the organization and using devices like 3D printers applying multiple technologies, 3D scanner, autonomous mobile robot, indoor drone, HoloLens, and a robotic arm to help to develop co-operative processes. PBN also attended thematic markets and workshops earlier to learn about digitalization, so being part of this project makes sense to transfer know-how and to support other DIHs to rise and produce results.
