"Embracing failure to facilitate second-chance entrepreneurship in the Danube region"

The aim of the project:

Danube Chance 2.0 aims to facilitate improved policy learning between policymakers and government agencies, research institutes and universities, financially distressed enterprises (currently involved in insolvency procedure or already bankrupt but ready for a fresh re-start), business accelerators and the public to deliver innovative policy designs enabling formerly bankrupt entrepreneurs restart as second-chance in the Danube region.
The project will provide a path for more legitimate entrepreneurs whose first businesses have failed to re-enter the market through delivering 130 hours of "blended" learning experiences at the ‘Trial and Error‘ Re-Design Transnational Academy”, and the launch of the first "Business Re-Structuring Initiative", which will provide business acceleration support for approximately 60 legitimate entrepreneurs whose first projects failed. A Second-chance Entrepreneurial Transnational Community Pool of Experts will also provide mentoring to second-chance entrepreneurs beyond the lifetime of the project.

 Activity of PBN:

PBN will be the leader of WPC - Communication. Further, PBN will cooperate within the project partnership in all WPs  to help the creation of a business environment that helps entrepreneurs save viable businesses and create more companies in the Danube Region. Within the project’s framework PBN helps in the following activities:
 
a) Second-chance Entrepreneurship Community Strategy for the Danube region: creating a "community of practitioners" committed to work together towards shaping the regulatory framework for giving honest bankrupt entrepreneurs a second chance in the Danube region;
 
b) "Trial and Error" Re-Design Transnational Academy: delivering 130 hours (6 modular) blended transnational learning experience to 200 honest entrepreneurs who have faced bankruptcy to quickly get a second chance
 
c) "Business re-structuring" initiatives": 12 months (including preparation + assessment ) high profile business financial and operational re-structuring programe ensuring that re-starters are treated on an equal footing with new start-ups, facilitating second-chance entrepreneurs getting access to finance thus promoting social acceptance of the failed entrepreneurs.
