Experience and learning with the project MITKE

The project will close at the end of the October. Let’s see what we achieved. 

Pannon Business Network Association took part in the project as an umbrella organization of the industrial parks and clusters in the West-Pannon Region in Hungary. In the framework of the international cooperation we had the opportunity to get to know the management systems of the BAIPs in the partner regions. Beyond the theoretical knowledge we were able to learn about the practical examples. These best practices adjusted to the special local needs were adapted into the Hungarian reality.

The industrial parks and business areas have got a special role as incentives of the economic development. On the contrary the conceptions and resources for the BAIPs are not corresponding with the real expectations and needs.  Related to these facts PBN created – on the base of the experiences from the project as well as feedbacks of the regional workshops – a regional development and action plan for the BAIPs in the region, which was implemented as a pilot project in an exact industrial park. PBN in cooperation with Association of the Industrial-, Science-, Innovation- and Technology Parks (IPE) gave inputs and suggestions in the preparation phase of action plans of the New Széchenyi Plan (new Hungarian National Development Plan) as well as to the development of the project calls for BAIPs.
